Lead the impact mission and strategy development as Splunk’s first Global Impact Officer. Oversee all global impact functions, including ESG, climate, social impact, and reporting. Define cross-functional strategies centered around 4 pillars of Social Impact, Data Responsibility, Inclusive Growth, and Environmental Sustainability. Obtain buy-in from stakeholders and board members.
Designed, stood up, and led Splunk’s first Global Impact and ESG Departments. Published the first annual Global Impact report and launched a public commitment to net zero emissions. Increased ESG rating 70% and CDP rating from F to C in 2 years.
Supported sales velocity with 55% YoY increase in customers requesting ESG support ($453M ARR) in 2024.
Led the development and launch of Splunk’s Trustworthy AI Principles and AI Framework.
Board committee structure modernized to align with stakeholder demands. Transitioned Nominating/Governance Committee to Governance and Sustainability Committee. Added Cybersecurity and Data Responsibility Committee.

Held P&L responsibility for Tides family of organizations, including 4 entities. Defined vision and strategic direction for all entities. Oversaw business functions, including programs, finance, revenue, client service, human capital, and operations. Developed partnerships with local, national, and global organizations.
Increased annual revenue from $200M to $700M in 5 years by creating and implementing a turnaround strategy. Overhauled mission, vision, and strategy. Achieved 5 years of net profitability, after inheriting 5 years of losses.
Expanded grantmaking from $93M to $350M, funding 4,000+ grants in 100 countries.

Founding Executive Director
Established CSI as a leading authority on social innovation. Transitioned a small academic center into a global hub that catalyzed the field of social innovation. Reshaped CSI’s mission and strategic direction to advance not only a greater understanding of social innovation but also the practice in the field. Brought together internal partners, businesses, nonprofits, social entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to co-create new knowledge, develop new programs, and share learnings.
Spearheaded a re-engineering of the Stanford Social Innovation Review that resulted in a publication turn-around with a 100% increase in circulation in three years. Added conferences, blogs, webinars, and new media to the portfolio. By 2008, SSIR was cited as the most influential publication in the sector.
Launched a Podcast Channel that grew to over 2 million downloads in over 30 countries.
Expanded external and Stanford-wide partnerships that grew CSI’s global impact to over 7,000 conference attendees 20,000 workshop participants and 600 MBA academic certificates.
Developed and expanded Executive Education Programs for Social Entrepreneurs, Corporate Social Responsibility heads, Nonprofit leaders and boards, and Philanthropic executives. Trained over 1,500 executives.
Revamped core business school certificate program and launched myriad new initiatives such as Social Innovation Fellows, Global Service-Learning trips and Impact Labs.
Strategic Advisor
Lived in Myanmar to conduct pilots and a needs assessment on expanding entrepreneurship as a vehicle for poverty alleviation. Led in-country evaluation for the viability of Stanford SEED operating in Myanmar.
Researched, uncovered and developed strategic relationships with international NGO’s, multi-national corporations, business owners, business associations, intermediaries, investors, government and higher education.
Designed, led and taught “Innovation in Action Lab” an executive program for Myanmar entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders. Adapted design thinking models to meet the context of Myanmar culture and language.
Advised and collaborated with emerging social enterprises, businesses and academic leaders on business plans and social impact models to drive change during a historical transition.
CHIEF OPERATING and Strategy OFFICER
Established Juma Ventures as a national model for Social Enterprise. Through research, writing, speaking and convening helped to raise the profile of social entrepreneurship from a niche market to the mainstream.
Led strategic and operational oversight that resulted in 500% growth in the organizations revenue over four years.
Through Strategic Planning initiatives launched new programs including a For-Profit Social Purpose Incubator, the first youth asset program in the country, and welfare-to-work collaborative with the Small Business Network.
Turned business division around from unprofitable status into a profitable division in one year while reaching social outcomes. Increased business operations from four to six businesses.
Expanded and managed partnerships with Ben and Jerry’s, Starbuck’s, Tully’s, Krispy Kreme donuts, SF Giants, 49ers, and SF Small Business Council as well as nonprofit and government agencies.
